Our Facilities
Elk Ridge ranch is located in the rustic little town of Sweet, Idaho, hidden in a secluded valley surrounded by foothills just an hour drive northwest of Boise, Idaho. Sweet has a rich history as a farm, ranch and logging community where the residents are known for their friendly hospitality and industrious, independent nature. Working hard and playing hard is the typical mindset of Sweet residents.
Our main ranch house is a spacious four story lodge with wrap around decks providing a panoramic view of the surrounding valley and foothills. Other buildings on the ranch include a 2,000 square foot bunkhouse, large shop, and livestock buildings. It is complimented by gardens, a well established grape arbor and orchard.
We love being surrounded by a rural, natural environment and have a great respect and appreciation for the resources and recreational opportunities available to us. Our land is one of mountains, rivers, foothills and wide open ranges graced with an abundance of wildlife. This region is popular for its hiking and horseback riding trails, skiing, kayaking, rafting and hunting. It is common to see eagles, hawks, osprey, elk, deer, pronghorn antelope as well as coyotes, cougar, bear and wolves.
We recognize the therapeutic benefits naturally derived from the ranch lifestyle and its particular nuances. The healing benefits of reconnecting with the natural environment are well documented.
